🌱 this film takes place in my city

Hi Reader,

I watched a new documentary called Farmacy of Light, and I didn’t expect it to feel quite so personal.

The film takes place right here in Irvine, California where I live.

It follows Erik Cutter, who created a regenerative organic farm on pavement using just a small urban lot. Years ago, I actually met Erik at a hydroponic farm he had nearby.

And when the film shows the Farm + Food Lab at the Great Park, I recognized it immediately because I’ve been there.

So for me, this wasn’t just a documentary about food, farming, light, and health. It was also a reminder that meaningful change can start in very ordinary places, even a parking lot.

Right now, Food Revolution Network is hosting the free online premiere of Farmacy of Light, and you can stream the full film at no cost.

It’s a hopeful, thought-provoking film about fresh food, regenerative agriculture, and reconnecting with the natural world.

And I think you’ll especially appreciate the way it shows how food can be about so much more than what’s on our plates.

Love and Veggies,

Amy

P.S. If you ever find yourself in Irvine, maybe we can meet up and tour the Farm + Food Lab together. Field trip with vegetables? Clearly my kind of outing. You can save your seat for the free screening here.

Bowl of Italian potato and tomato salad.

Hi Reader, The next time you're in the mood for potato salad, skip the mayo and try Italian potato salad. It's made with tender yellow potatoes, sweet cherry tomatoes, tangy red onions, fresh Italian parsley, and a simple vinaigrette that soaks right into the warm potatoes. You can serve it warm or cold as a side dish, or turn it into a meal with a few easy additions like chickpeas, white beans, green beans, or extra veggies. It's a fresh, flavorful change from traditional potato salad, and...
